Peter Pan

I had seen all the movies and their interpretations of the Peter Pan story, but none compared to the original. Peter Pan was written in the 1904, and it was actually a play before it was a book. It wasn't uncommon for classic stories to start as plays in those days, since plays were major forms of entertainment.

I really enjoyed this book because it was written in the language of its time, while using today's AP level vocabulary in a children's book. The story is true to its core about what it means to posses the spirit of youth. Peter Pan represents what every child starts as, full of adventure and youth. I loved each character and their quirks. I applaud J. M. Barrie for taking the time to let us see and experience each character. Characters are memorable when we see every aspect of them such as their personality, flaws, desires, and repulsions.

I highly recommend this book to those that love to experience classic literature, and the adventures of the forever youthful Peter Pan.
